F.A. Hayek and the Defense of Liberalism

Bio: Bruce Caldwell is the director of the Center for the History of Political Economy at Duke University. His research focuses on economic methodology and on the intellectual contributions of the social theorist and Nobel laureate F. A. Hayek. He is the author of Beyond Positivism and of Hayek’s Challenge, and is the General Editor of the book series The Collected Works of F. A. Hayek. In 2019-2020 he was a Distinguished Visiting Fellow of the Hoover Institution where he worked on a biography of Hayek.
