Bio: Steven Medema is a research professor at Duke University, where he also serves as the associate director of the Center for the History of Political Economy. His research focuses on the interplay between market and state throughout the history of economics and the more recent expansion of the boundaries of the field. He is the former editor of the Journal of the History of Economic Thought and currently serves on the editorial boards of several history of economics journals.
