Market failures are widespread across markets, and governments throughout the world design interventions to address them. Examples of market failures include market power, asymmetric information, externalities, and free-riding on public goods, among others. This session will bring together researchers in industrial organization and public economics focused on identifying market failures, studying interventions, and evaluating solutions.
