Professor Victor Fuchs died at the age of 99

Professor Fuchs, pioneer of health economics, died on September 16, 2023, in his home on Stanford's campus. He highlighted the problems in the U.S. health care system and advocated for universal health care. Fuchs was the Henry J. Kaiser Professor of Economics and of Health Research and Policy, emeritus. He was also a senior fellow, emeritus, at SIEPR.
