Neale Mahoney

Neale Mahoney, a Stanford economics professor and the George P. Shultz Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR), has joined the Biden White House as a special policy adviser.

A new paper, "Medical Debt in the US, 2009-2020" finds the average medical debt to be highest among those living in the South and in lower-income communities. 

The ASHEcon Medal is the biennial award for economists age 40 or under who have made the most significant contributions to the health economics field.
